A Guide to Attending WordCamp Kent 2020

WordCampKent_header

When the WordCamp Kent organizing team chose the space theme for this year’s event, we had no idea that our 2020 conference would take us so far from what we knew. While we knew we’d come across challenges, we knew we had enough time until lift-off to make this mission a success.

This is no ordinary WordCamp Kent. We’ve relished the opportunity to shift our focus away from registration tables and taco bars towards the things we think will make for an out-of-this-world virtual event. A diverse and thoughtful line-up of sessions. Simple and meaningful ways to engage with our speakers, sponsors, and fellow WordCamp Kent attendees. Deliberate breaks to help you recharge and relax.

We are excited to have so many of you joining us on this exploration to boldly go where no WordCamp Kent has gone before, even if the space references do get a little cheesy! Now, let’s help you prepare with the things you need to know have a great weekend.

Code of Conduct

Our goal is to make this a welcoming and positive experience for everyone. We recommend checking out our Code of Conduct, which has been adapted for our virtual event.

Time Zones

We are so excited to have attendees, speakers, and volunteers from all over the world, and that means different time zones!

It’s important to note that the event schedule is Eastern Daylight Time. If you are unsure about converting the event schedule times into your time zone, go here: https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html.
