Through redesigns and many “adopted” websites, I’ve seen dozens of themes and hundreds of plugins. Most of what I’ve learned is through trial and error and plenty of “oh __!” moments. Through it all, I’ve developed some go-to processes for hunting down common issues, determining user-error from glitches, figuring out who to turn to (hosting provider, theme developer, plugin developer?) and how to get the fastest resolution.
